Common Crawl Corpus Research

I work with Professor Jonathan Dunn as an undergraduate researcher developing an more equitable geographically distributed language corpus using Common Crawl data. I program in Python to optimize and develop a pipeline to generate a high-quality global language corpus based on web-crawl data. The process uses Natural Language Processing and linguistic approaches to filter and manipulate extensive corpus data.

CyberGIS Center

I program in python to create Jupyter Notebook interfaces that allow non-technical geographers to use high-performance computing (HPC) clusters. I also create open-source documentation for the lab's CyberGISX software used for geographic computation locally and for the API which allows users to connect to university supercomputers.

Phillips 66

As an intern in cloud computing at Phillips 66, I had the opportunity to work with and update 27 standard Terraform modules for cloud deployment on AWS and Microsoft Azure. I used Azure Pipelines to automate testing for the modules to ensure they were up to date and working properly. I also worked on a team to create a demo application using cloud quantum computing as a proof of concept for future projects.

I provided customer service and tech support for thousands of residents in ten residence halls, including regular maintenance of computer labs and responding to after-hours calls by email, phone, and in-person visits daily. I utilized network management software to remotely monitor and respond to issues with printers, servers, and ethernet connections.

U.S. Department of State

In my role, I designed web software to assist offices across the diplomatic mission in properly maintaining, destroying, and archiving sensitive and classified government records and created a 30-page report describing best practices to keep records compliant with U.S. law and department policies.

I organized and processed sensitive data for over 600 embassy properties across several databases and spreadsheets. I also coordinated with the purchasing office and contractors for cleaning and maintenance services and I filmed and edited virtual tours of neighborhoods and apartments for incoming residents.
