AI Technicians - Teaching Assistant

As a teaching assistant for the AI Technicians Program, I am responsible for helping students learn about the fundamentals of AI and machine learning. As part of the TEEL Lab at CMU, I develop new projects and materials to help students build a foundational knowledge in programming and AI development. Topics include Practical Python Programming, Data Engineering, AI Solutions, Cloud Administration, and Cloud DevOps.

League of Linguists - President

As the elected President of the League of Linguists (an undergraduate linguistics organization), I was responsible for organizing and leading the club. This included planning and running meetings, organizing events and speaker talks, and representing undergraduate linguistics students at faculty meetings and on committees.

Jila - Backend Tech Lead

Jila is an app aimed at helping local Q'anjob'al speakers gain better access to resources through more information in their own language. Q'anjob'al is an endangered native Mayan language spoken by a subset of the local immigrant community. As the Backend Tech Lead for Jila, I managed a development team of three using Vercel, REST API, and clerk to communicate with the ReactJS app and manage authentication. I also coordinated with project managers and other teams to ensure the success of the project.
