Jila - Backend Tech Lead
Jila is an app aimed at helping local Q'anjob'al speakers gain better access to resources through more information in their own language. Q'anjob'al is an endangered native Mayan language spoken by a subset of the local immigrant community. As the Backend Tech Lead for Jila, I manage a development team of three using Vercel, REST API, and clerk to communicate with the ReactJS app and manage authentication. I also coordinate with project managers and other teams to ensure the success of the project.
League of Linguists - President
As the elected President of the League of Linguists (an undergraduate linguistics organization), I am responsible for organizing and leading the club. This includes planning and running meetings, organizing events and speaker talks, and representing undergraduate linguistics students at faculty meetings and on committees.
